Volvo Group is active in Ghent since 1964, it is Volvo's largest truck factory and the largest spare parts distribution center worldwide. With ca. 4000 employees, the Ghent Plant is also one of the top employers in Belgium.
In his role of VP Operations, Koen Leemans is responsible for the Ghent Plant, Europe & Brazil Manufacturing. In his keynote, he will share his experience with how he applies people leadership and leadership development in such a large organisation and dynamic automotive environment. From his unique multi-country point of view, Koen will give us insights on the challenges and opportunities in leadership, as well as lessons learned. Finally he will elaborate on how he and Volvo are already preparing for the future approaches of work, talent management and leadership.
Volvo Group is headquartered in Sweden and offers trucks, buses, construction equipment and power solutions for maritime and industrial applications. The group has a global presence with production in 19 countries, 190 markets and employs 100.000 people.
